Otaru Canal
A row of red-brick warehouses lines the canal, serving as a symbol of Otaru’s status as the financial and economic hub of Hokkaido. Today, these warehouses have been converted into glassware shops, teahouses, restaurants and large retail outlets, making the area a popular tourist destination.

As well as its world-renowned powder snow, Niseko boasts stylish streetscapes reminiscent of those found abroad, delicious cuisine and hot springs. It is a place that brings a smile to your face and exudes a warm atmosphere, and is Hokkaido’s largest and most popular ski resort.
You must reserve a seat before boarding. There are two ways to do this:
1) Go to the station ticket office, show your JR Pass to the staff, and collect your JR reserved-seat ticket
2) Use the reserved-seat ticket machines at any JR station to make a reservation and collect your ticket, avoiding the need to queue at the ticket office.
