Hikone Castle

Once you arrive at Hikone Station, walk straight ahead for 10 minutes to reach the entrance to Hikone Castle. At the entrance, you’ll see cherry blossoms lining the moat embankment—it’s absolutely spectacular! Hikone Castle is enormous, and it’s absolutely stunning when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom; visiting during the cherry blossom season makes it even more beautiful!

Toyama City Centre – Toyama City Glass Art Museum

Combining culture with a contemporary art venue, this spectacular glass exhibition showcases glass art—a hallmark of modern art in Toyama City. Toyama City is a truly remarkable city, boasting a wealth of traditional crafts. In addition to exhibiting artworks, the venue also serves as the city’s library, with low bookshelves creating a welcoming environment for book lovers.

You must reserve a seat before boarding. There are two ways to do this:
1) Go to the station ticket office, show your JR Pass to the staff, and collect your JR reserved-seat ticket
2) Use the reserved-seat ticket machines at any JR station to make a reservation and collect your ticket, avoiding the need to queue at the ticket office.
