Noboribetsu Hot Springs

Noboribetsu Hot Springs is a very famous attraction in Hokkaido, Japan. Whilst you’re here, not only can you enjoy a wonderful soak in the hot springs, but don’t forget to pop into Noboribetsu Onsen-machi to pick up some souvenirs and sample the local cuisine. It’s also lovely to take a stroll around nearby attractions such as Noboribetsu Jigokudani and Oyunuma!

Gokuraku-dori Shopping Street

Gokuraku-dori Shopping Street is the liveliest part of the Noboribetsu Onsen district. The street is lined with several restaurants, souvenir shops and convenience stores, and to my surprise, I even spotted a Satsuma drugstore and a 100-yen shop!

You must reserve a seat before boarding. There are two ways to do this:
1) Go to the station ticket office, show your JR Pass to the staff, and collect your JR reserved-seat ticket
2) Use the reserved-seat ticket machines at any JR station to make a reservation and collect your ticket, avoiding the need to queue at the ticket office.
