Description
"Dive into the well-preserved seabed of the Sea of Japan and explore the natural wonders of the Izu Peninsula in Japan!"
The Izu Peninsula is located on the south side of Tokyo Bay and is one of the most famous resort areas in Japan. This magical place has a rich natural landscape, including a beautiful coastline, hot spring villages, and unique mountain formations, providing endless opportunities for exploration and relaxation for visitors. It also has popular diving spots where you can discover more!
Nature Inn Osekan is a recently opened diving resort in Japan. From the shore next to the inn, you can shore dive and see various small creatures like kelp, painted sea slugs, golden crabs, and jellyfish! Nature Inn Osekan also has experienced dive guides who can take you on excursions to dive the beautiful Osezaki seabed.
Kawazu Cherry Blossoms - The Earliest Blooming Cherry Blossoms in Izu
Another major highlight of the Izu Peninsula is the Kawazu cherry blossoms, which are the earliest blooming cherry blossom variety in Japan. Every year from February to March, the Kawazu cherry blossoms will be in full bloom for about a month, nearly 2 months earlier than the typical cherry blossom season. During this cool season, enjoying the pink cherry blossoms while soaking in hot springs creates a dreamlike, romantic atmosphere.
Onsen Destinations - Finding the Perfect Relaxation Spot
The Izu Peninsula is abundant with Onsen, with various hot spring towns in different regions. From the eastern areas of Atami and Ito, to the central Shuzenji, the southern Shimoda, and the western Toi, each area has high-end, comfortable Onsen ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) for visitors to choose from.
Wherever you go on the Izu Peninsula, you can find the perfect Onsen destination to unwind and relax.
Osezaki - A Marine Life Treasure Trove
Located at the western entrance of the Izu Peninsula, Osezaki is a distinctive coastal spot. It has been certified as a Global Geopark by UNESCO, thanks to its high-quality seawater and thriving marine ecosystem, making it a natural resource treasure trove. As a result, Osezaki is also one of Japan's premier diving destinations! It is a veritable paradise for macro marine life enthusiasts.
Nature Inn Osekan preserves the traditional Japanese-style room design, and the bathing water in the large public bath is sourced from the underground spring water extracted from the volcanic rock layers of Osezaki. Guests can even reserve a private bath and soak while enjoying the views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay.
The inn's restaurant utilizes fresh local ingredients to prepare authentic regional cuisine, allowing you to savor the most genuine flavors of the area.
